„Rocznik Polskiego Towarzystwa Heraldycznego” – czasopismo znajdujące się na liście pism punktowanych Ministerstwa Nauki – prezentuje w najnowszym tomie szerokie spektrum badań nad heraldyką, symboliką władzy, historią idei oraz narracjami źródłowymi od średniowiecza po czasy nowożytne.
Tom XXIV (XXXV) nowej serii przynosi kontynuację ważnej debaty nad heraldyką samorządową i terytorialną, w tym artykuł prof. Marka Adamczewskiego oraz obszerne sprawozdanie z ogólnopolskiej sesji naukowej poświęconej tej problematyce. Zagadnienia heraldyki kościelnej i diecezjalnej zostały ujęte w kontekście historycznym i źródłowym, ukazując dynamikę form symbolicznych w przestrzeni instytucjonalnej.

The Annual of the Polish Heraldic Society, a journal indexed on the official list of scored academic journals of the Polish Ministry of Science, presents in its latest volume a broad and interdisciplinary range of studies devoted to heraldry, symbolic communication, and historical narratives from the Middle Ages to the modern period.
Volume XXIV (XXXV) of the new series continues the scholarly discussion on municipal and territorial heraldry, including a study by Prof. Marek Adamczewski and a detailed report on a national academic conference co-organised by the Polish Heraldic Society. Issues of ecclesiastical and diocesan heraldry are examined within their institutional and historical contexts, highlighting the evolution of symbolic forms.
Earlier historical periods are represented by articles such as Prof. Aleksandra Oszczęda’s in-depth analysis of the cross in the Lithuanian coat of arms of the Pahonia, as interpreted in the historiographical and poetic works of Maciej Stryjkowski, situated at the intersection of heraldry, historiography, and early modern literary culture. Complementing this perspective is a study by Dr Maciej Kossowski devoted to the symbolic and architectural significance of the Krzyżtopór Castle in Ujazd.
A major contribution to the volume is the article by Prof. Sorin Paliga (University of Bucharest), who demonstrates—on linguistic, historical, and heraldic grounds—that the term boier (‘boyar’) is not a borrowing, but the result of an internal development within East Romance languages, closely linked to rural economy, social structure, and heraldic symbolism in South-Eastern Europe.

L’Annuaire de la Société héraldique polonaise, revue scientifique inscrite sur la liste officielle des revues évaluées par le ministère polonais des Sciences, présente dans son dernier volume un ensemble d’études interdisciplinaires consacrées à l’héraldique, aux systèmes symboliques et aux traditions historiographiques du Moyen Âge à l’époque moderne.
Le tome XXIV (XXXV) de la nouvelle série poursuit la réflexion sur l’héraldique territoriale et municipale, notamment à travers un article du professeur Marek Adamczewski et un compte rendu détaillé d’une session scientifique nationale coorganisée par la Société. Les problématiques de l’héraldique ecclésiastique et diocésaine y sont également abordées dans leur contexte institutionnel et historique.
Les périodes plus anciennes sont représentées, entre autres, par l’étude de la professeure Aleksandra Oszczęda, consacrée à la genèse et à la signification de la croix dans les armoiries de la Pahonia lituanienne, telles qu’elles apparaissent dans les œuvres historiographiques et poétiques de Maciej Stryjkowski, à la croisée de l’héraldique, de la chronique et de la littérature de la Renaissance.
